Modeling Mental Health: A 3D Study in Home Wellness
This basic 3D rendering represents a state of mind, as does everyones living space. Physical environments profoundly impact phycological health; by curating a space with calming, muted green walls, soft lighting and natural elements like indoor plants, the room acts like a peaceful domestic sanctuary designed to lower stress and encourage mindfulness.
I chose this topic because modern life often moves at an exhausting pace, making a restorative home environment vital for recharging. Mental health is frequently overlooked in conversations about sustainability, yet it forms the foundation of a healthy, balanced life. Creating this space was a personal exercise in exploring how thoughtful interior design can actively nurture inner peace.
In order to complete this project, I used Adobe Substance, a painful amount of YouTube tutorials and various informative related websites. With these tool I constructed the layout, applied textures, colors, materials, and rendered the final scene.
Working through this assignment as a beginner, I learned how crucial materials and lighting are for establishing mood. Even using simple items and shapes, adjusting soft ambient light, wood grain textures, and calming color palettes can transform a basic layout into a warm inviting refuge. It is important to be aware of the space that you live in.
