Headspace Orbit

  • This animation connects to Good Health and Well-Being by exploring the psychological and physical impacts of isolation and space exploration. Just as astronauts endure intense confinement during long-haul transit to the Moon, maintaining mental resilience, emotional balance, and physical health in high-stress environments is critical for sustainable human well-being.
  • I chose this theme because the vastness of space mirrors the mental hurdles of long-term isolation. Exploring how humanity bridges physical distances while safeguarding psychological health is a compelling storytelling challenge. To me, this project represents the intersection of perseverance, exploration, and the fundamental human need for connection, even when traveling light-years from home.
  • To bring this 10-second journey to life, I utilized Adobe Animate digital animation software to handle keyframing, motion paths, and scene composition. I used Media Encoder to transfer the animation into a workable mp3 file. Using Premier Pro I edited the project by making cuts, adding sound effects, audio engineering and exporting the animation. Finally I used both YouTube Studio and Pixabay for sound and effects and music.
  • This assignment taught me how to convey a complete narrative arc within an extremely limited timeframe. Managing the pacing between fast-paced acceleration and the quiet stillness of space deepened my understanding of visual rhythm, composition, and concise storytelling.
